CCTV visual proves CPM leader’s meeting with Fayaz

More evidences corroborating alleged connections of CPM leader P Mohanan with the underworld have come out. A CCTV footage from Kannur jail shows T K Fayaz, the accused in the gold smuggling case, leaving a room in the jail followed by CPM leader P Mohanan. The footage suggests that the two were having a meeting in the room.



T K Fayaz had visited the jail in June 2013. He went to meet P Mohanan, who was under remand in connection with the T P Chandrasekharan murder, by around 2.45 in the afternoon. Fayaz concluded the meeting by around 3.00 pm and went out of the room. After about 20 seconds, P Mohanan was also seen coming out of the room.

However, no visuals on the conversation between the two were available since there was no CCTV camera in the room in which they had met. P Mohanan and other CPM leaders had repeatedly claimed that the former had never met Fayaz. The Leader of the Opposition, V S Achuthanandan had however demanded a probe into the alleged meeting.
