Narendra Modi in M'lore: Congress has destroyed the country

After wooing the crowds in Davangere, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed a rally here. Earlier today, Modi in his speech in Devangere criticised the Congress party for ignoring farmers issues and women's security.

We are a nation of mouse charmers, says Modi Praising the IT field in Karnataka, Modi said: We used to be a nation of snake charmers now we are a nation of mouse charmers. However the IT sector has become stagnant." Warning the youth in the IT sector Modi said that we must not be stuck in low end technology. " We must aim for high end technology too. There is nothing today in world without technology. We must work in the direction where we can make use of this technology," he said. "We don't export talent, we export labour. Unless we don't export both talent and labour, we will be stuck in low end outsource," he said. Modi said that the tourism in the country needed a boost in order to lure high cost tourists. "Small markets like Korea, Bangladesh and Taiwan have taken over a nation like ours that produces and exports cotton," he said. Attacking the Congress, Modi said that though the Congress had promised in 2009 Parliament to give employment to one member in each family. "The Congress did not fulfill that promise, they were blinded with arrogance. Where will our youth go if they do not have jobs. Our priority must be to provide employment to the youth," he said. Congress has no model, no initiative to provide employment. "SC raps the Congress government almost everyday. The country won't be free from corruption till we vote Congress out," he said. "I am asking for your vote for development. We need to fight the elections for the country, not for an individual not for a party," he said.

Narendra Modi praises Mangalore Praising the people of Mangalore, Modi said that the region had given many banks to the country. "Coastal states and districts need a special policy for their development. Just one tailor made solution will not help in the country's progress. Keeping in mind their needs, a separate vision is needed for these regions," he said. "Port development is not going to work, port lead development is what we need. The fishing community needs to be empowered by technology. If satellite technology is used it will save their time. I have implemented the same in Gujarat with success," he said. "It is the time that we accept urbanisation as opportunity. The Centre rejected urbanisation, but we must accept urbanisation. We need to change the face of infrastructure. Just roads, airports not sufficient. The quality of lighting used in these places is necessary," he said. He added that a network to transmit electricity from surplus states needs to be established.

CPM district secretariat member openly challenges RMP

I'll have a Bengali wedding: Bipasha Basu

Actress Bipasha Basu, who is reportedly dating Harman Baweja, refused to speak on her relationship status but said that she will have a typical Bengali wedding.

'Whenever I get married it will be a Bengali wedding. If I won't have a Bengali wedding my mother won't come. She has warned me. So, I am going to have a Bengali wedding for sure,' Bipasha, known for films like 'Jism' 'Corporate' and 'No Entry', told IANS.

'But the only condition is that nobody will dance at my wedding, everybody will only exercise,' added the 35-year-old, a fitness freak who has launched the third volume of her fitness DVD titled 'Unleash'.

Her ex-beau John Abraham recently got married to Priya Runchal, an investment banker.

When asked about her views on John's wedding, she said: 'I am not answering that.'

Kamal Hassan hits the jackpot

'Ulaganaayakan' Kamal Hassan has been given a sum of Rs. 20 crores to shoot the tamil remake of the Malayalam film 'Drishyam.' He has set aside 50 days to shoot the film.

The directors of the remake, namely Suresh Balaji, Sreepriya as well as Kamal Hassan have signed an agreement in this regard. Kamal Hassan is likely to earn a whopping Rs. 40 lakhs per day during the course of the project.  

Drishyam,directed by Jeethu Joseph has been the most successful project that hit the Malyalam Box office. The tamil version of the movie would be prodcued by Wide Angle creations and Suresh productions. The shooting of the movie is likely to begin in April 2014.

’Drishyam’ celebrates 50 days, strikes gold at box-office

Superstar Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam thriller "Drishyam", which celebrates its 50-day run, has emerged as the biggest hit in the Malyalam film industry. The film has so far collected over Rs.35 crore at the box-office.

The film, which released on Dec 19 2013, was reportedly made on a budget of Rs.4.5 crore.

"It celebrates 50-day run at the box-office not only in Kerala but as well as in Tamil Nadu. We don't know the exact figure but it has raked in over Rs.35 crore so far. It has turned out to be biggest hit in Malayalam industry," said trade analyst Trinath.

A tautly made thriller, the film revolves around the efforts of a father to cover up a murder committed by his family member.

"Drishyam" will soon be remade in Tamil with Kamal Haasan and with Daggubati Venkatesh in Telugu.

While Jeethu Joseph, who directed the original, will helm the Tamil remake, actor-filmmaker Sripriya will direct the Telugu version.

Talks are also on for a Hindi remake of the film as well.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan voted fourth most beautiful woman of the world

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has made it to the fourth position in a recent poll of the world's most beautiful women. Conducted by Hollywood Buzz, the survey saw participation from more than four million people, who selected the most intelligent, desirable and successful women of 2013-14. Aishwarya was only beaten by Monica Belluci, Kate Upton and Angelina Jolie.
Commenting on this Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, "The results of this poll by Hollywood Buzz was brought to my notice by my well-wishers whatsapping me. Believe it or not...and I must admit it's overwhelming to hear that over 4 million people across the globe have voted and listed me amongst their top choices."

Kamal Hassan In Drishyam Tamil

Kamal Hassan will most probably be seen in the remake of Malayalam superhit Drishyam although nothing has been finalised yet..

Kamal Hassan will essay the role of Georgekutty played by Mohanlal. There are also reports that Kamal Hassan will do the role both in Tamil and Hindi remakes of Drishyam. The family drama thriller has Mohanlal playing a modest family man as a father of two.

The rights for the Tamil and Telugu remakes are reowned by producer Suresh Balaji. The film was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas and music is by Anil Johnson and Vinu Thomas.

Meanwhile, Kamal is gearing up for his Vishwaroopam 2 release and Vikram for his forthcoming film Ai.
