CPM district secretariat member openly challenges RMP

CPM leader, C Bhaskaran, in a public speech  made sharp criticism against slain RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan and alleged blotches in his character. Manorama News has accessed sound bites of the speech.

If the party is challenged by the RMP, its workers will be eliminated, Bhaskaran had warned in his speech. Policed has charged the leader with offenses of making provocative speech.

The CPM Kozhikode district secretariat member had made the remarks during a reception accorded to senior CPM leader P Mohanan, who was acquitted in T P Chandrasekharan murder case.

Bhaskaran was one among those who was interrogated in connection with T P murder case. He had said that women used to make frequent calls to T P Chandrasekharan's mobile phone and it is TP's phone calls, which the CBI should probe.

Hinting the alleged attacks by RMP leaders on the houses of CPM leaders Bhaskaran said that if RMP workers attack houses again, the party will pay back a long standing debt.

CPM leader M V Jayarajan was also part of the function. Meanwhile, RMP has demanded that investigation team probing the conspiracy angle in TP murder case must make a detailed examination of Bhaskaran.

A regional television channel had aired Bhaskaran's speech. The police will decide on filing a case against Bhaskaran after carefully studying the sound bite. The CPM leaders are now making allegations which even the defendant counsels had not raised during the trial.
